About us
Muddy Paws opened it's doors in Columbus in June of 2012. We offer nothing but the best care for man’s best friend by offering daycare, boarding and grooming. We then added the Andover location in May of 2018. In August of 2021, the Columbus location was sold to a long time employee of Muddy Paws.
Mission Statement
Muddy Paws offers all the services needed to keep the furriest of family members happy and healthy. The goal is to provide a home away from home for pups of all shapes and sizes, a safe place to run, play, eat and sleep (and even partake in dreaded bath time) while mom and dad are away.
The Owner
Muddy Paws is owned by Jess and Billy Evers. Together, they have 4 beautiful daughters . . . Myla, Kenley, Simone and Farra. They currently have one pup in the house, Hyke, the German Shepherd. All of their girls just love to come to work and meet all of the pups! They even get in on some kennel cleaning from time to time!
Jess grew up on a farm in Askov, MN where she was a very hands on participant in all aspects of the farming life. Her family raised dairy and beef cows, pigs, chickens, a good population of barn cats and of course DOGS!
After high school, Jess received a degree in animal science from Colorado State University (and also where she met Billy). And from there, the dream of Muddy Paws was born. Her true passion for animals is the sole reason for opening Muddy Paws. She feels there is nothing more enjoyable than watching the happiness on a pups face while playing with his friends or getting a little belly rub. She also feels a great sense of accomplishment when a shy pup comes to daycare and finally feels confident enough to come out of her shell and make new friends.
Jess tries very hard to ensure the happiness of everyone visiting Muddy Paws. She takes a great pride in her business and strives to hire only those who share the same passion and love for dogs as she does. She trusts her staff 100% and has been very lucky to find some of the best people to help run Muddy Paws!
